STARWEAVE

STARWEAVE is a single-player narrative game that utilizes squad rpg and novel command-refusal mechanics to tell an allegorical story about oppressive roles.
Players will experience empathy and understand the nuances behind a cast of hurting teenagers.

2D SPRITES — Following the creative director's vision, a sketch is provided to establish the style and porportions the 2D character sprites are drawn. After revision and acceptance they are lined, colored, and rendered according to art direction. Characters' limbs are then separated for rigging and animation, keeping in consideration of their movements and anatomy while establishing a smooth workflow with the rigger and animator located abroad.

CHARACTER PORTRAITS — Sketches are provided to the creative direction with various compositions and consideration of the character’s personalities. Sketches are selected and, when necessary, revised to the final product while keeping in mind of art direction.

PROCESS.

LOGO DESIGN — After acquiring logo description, preferences, and references directly from the game director, multiple sketches are created for critique. Changes were made and taken in consideration based off of new input, narrowing down to a few selection and expanding on chosen sketches. The process repeated until a final logo design was selected and at that point it’s a lot of tweaking final details. The details consider: the media and surfaces the logo will be featured on, legibility, and providing color variations that still maintains the logo’s readability.
